Alpha and Omega 2 Chapter 8

Chapter 8:  Home coming

The next Morning just outside of Shadow’s pack, Humphrey, Kate and Garth were ready to leave and were just saying their farewells to Lance, Nova and Shadow. “Thanks for everything” Lance said “Good luck with your news lives” Nova said. Kate was wearing a baby pouch given to her by Marcel and Paddy with her newborn pups inside sleeping. Kate, Humphrey and Garth then set off on their journey home with Marcel and Paddy as their guides.

Later the group had finally arrived back to Jasper and everyone was there to greet them. “Daddy!” shouted Violet and Cody as ran over to Garth followed by Lilly and tackled him down.

“Thank goodness your back” said Eve as she and Winston walked over to Kate “But that’s all” Kate said as she and Humphrey smiled looked into the baby pouch.  

Cody and Violet went over to Kate and peeped inside the baby pouch,

“Puppies!” Violet shouted with excitement.

“There are two boys and one girl” Kate said, “Oh my, those pups are so beautiful” Eve said watching her newborn grandchildren.

“Hold on” said Winston

“Where’s Hutch?” Kate, Humphrey and Garth suddenly had saddened looks on their faces

“Hutch sacrificed himself to save us” Garth said “What do you mean?”

“You see, on our way looking for Kate we were ambushed by a group of hunters, Humphrey and I managed to escape but Hutch got shot”

“Oh... I see” Winston said with a depressed tone in his voice.


Later everyone had went back to the main den and Kate and Humphrey had gently put their little ones down in comfy spot in the den “My this such a beautiful litter” Eve said as she checked up the pups, “How are they” Kate asked “Their all healthy, except…” looking at the last one that was born, he had beautiful golden fur like his mother but he was apparently a runt “This one is rather small” Kate and Humphrey then had a worried look their faces

“Do you think he’ll survive” Kate asked with sad tone in her voice

“He probably will but he’ll need proper care”.

Kate and Humphrey then breathed a breath of relief, suddenly the pups started squeaking. “Oh my I think they might be hungry” Kate said as she lied her body down and let the pups drink milk from her and made sure that the runt especially got plenty.

“So have you and Humphrey thought of any names for them?” Lilly asked
Kate and Humphrey then looked at each other

“Gosh, I haven’t thought about that yet” said Kate

“Guess we forgot after all we been through in the past couple of days” Humphrey said


“Well I would like to name the girl Dawn” Kate said looking at the bluish grey female pup.

“That’s a perfect name” Humphrey said muzzling Kate “How about we name this little fella here Storm” he said watching the black male pup.

“Well that leaves the last one born” Kate said watching the runt with golden fur like hers.

“Hey Kate I just thought of a name for him, how about Star”

“That’s a wonderful name” Kate said rubbing her nose against Humphrey’s

That night the family slept in the main den peacefully
Kate and Humphrey’s newborn pups were cuddled up beside Kate with Humphrey next to her.

Winston woke up to a howl he had heard once before wished he would never hear again. He walked out of the den and into the rear boarders of the pack, there in the dusk shadows was a mysterious wolf like figure.

“It’s been a long time, Raiko”

“Hello Winston, I assume you know why I’m here”

“Actually, I don’t”

“Then how do you explain this, I just found out my daughter is dead”

“What about my daughter! You were the one and your pack that had kidnaped her and tried to kill her”

“Oh yeah about that, you apparently went against pack law and let her mate with an omega”

“It just… I thought it work, I saw that they truly loved each other, so I decided to put an end to that law for good”


“You pathetic fool! That law was made for a reason remember! Don’t you remember the devastation? I warn you, if you don’t end this I will”  


Raiko walked away and turned his head back to Winston “I’ll let your family have their happiness… for now.”
