Chapter 14: Blood stained teeth
Back in jasper pack the pups played outside the main den, all except for Storm who was thinking seriously to himself until Cody nudged his shoulder
“Hey cus, why aren’t playing with us?”
“Well it’s just, I think there something they’re not telling us. They say that Star is lost outside the valley, yet they’ve sent heaps more alphas than a normal search party should and look around, guards on full alert. There must be something bigger going on.”
Just then Violet, Dawn, Sora and Kairi walked over to them,
“What’s going on?” Dawn asked
“Storm thinks there’s something big that the grownups are not telling us and we’re goanna find out what it is”
“But our parents told us to stay here” Dawn said
“Aw come on don’t be such a goody two-shoes, this our chance to go on an adventure” Cody said
“Can we come” Sora and Kairi asked
“Aren’t you bit too little for something as big as this?”
“If you don’t bring us we’ll tell mum”
“Nice move, alright you can come along”.
Soon all the pups snuck out of the valley
As the seven pups wondered through the woods Storm noticed some rustling in the surrounding bushes, then suddenly a bunch of wolves from Raiko’s pack ambushed them. “Well, well what do we have here, little pests from the western/eastern pack” just then some Alphas from the western/eastern pack came and defended them as Ella and Lilly took the pups to safety. But soon the alphas from the eastern/western pack were defeated and the alphas from Raiko’s pack approached Lilly, Ella and the pups when suddenly Eve jumped out at them and started strangling one of them,
“Where is my grandson!”
“Grandma…” Violet said, Eve then turned to her
“Not now dear, grandma’s in a rage” just then the other wolves started to attack Eve.
“That’s enough” said a voice from behind.
The wolves that attacked Eve backed down everyone turned around and saw Raiko on a cliff edge above them.
Raiko then came down and went towards Eve.
Eve is shocked to see him “Rai… Raiko?!”
“Well it’s been while”
“No doubt about it your behind this, what is your purpose to this”
“My true purpose is something beyond you can understand ”
Eve lunched herself at Raiko and clawed his left leg. Raiko then slashed across her face
Eve then lunched him but Raiko dodged at the last minute and dug his teeth into Eve’s neck.
Once the body stopped shaking he dropped Eve’s lifeless body on the ground.
“Grandma!” shouted the distressed pups as their eyes filled with tears. Lilly and Ella just stood there frozen in shock at what just happened.
Raiko’s alphas then surrounded Lilly, Ella and the pups.
“We’ll keep them alive… for now” Raiko said.
